Club History

Keighley Club History

Founded in 1974, Keighley Model Railway Club currently has over 70 members of all ages and over the years the Club membership has produced layouts in a variety of scales, which have been exhibited in both the UK and Europe. Many of those layouts and more recent ones have also been featured in the modelling press over the years and most of those are featured in our layout pages

Over the years some of the early members have moved away and now reside as far away as Canada and New Zealand yet still keep in touch with things at Keighley and a number can be seen on Youtube presenting for the O Gauge Guild lectures

The club has met in a few different places over the years in the Keighley area and has now been in the historic Knowle Mills on South Street for the last 15 years. If you would like to discover more of the details of the history and architecture of Knowle Mills then please see here

At the time of writing, we are finalising our 48th Annual exhibition. The exhibitions are always held in the Keighley area and we strive to utilise local services and include similar organisations from the local area. Our regular Open Days have become popular over the years with many families returning on many occasions.
