Welcome to Keighley Model Railway ClubFounded in 1974, Keighley MRC now has over 100 members of all ages, both local and as far away as Canada! Over the years, the Club has produced layouts in a variety of scales which have been exhibited in both the UK and Europe, and currently offers an opportunity to get involved with railway modelling in any scale. Our clubrooms, situated at the Keighley Business Centre in Knowle Mill are just outside the centre of the town, and offer 9,000 sq feet of heated space with both goods and passenger lift access. This allows many layouts to be permanently erected for running, as well as providing space for new ones under construction. We have a multi-gauge test track which is always available for test running, with both DCC and analogue controls. There are also modelling tables for members to work on their kits or individual projects. Club night is every Tuesday 7.00 - 10.00pm, but individual layout groups also meet on Mondays and Thursdays, and there is also a Junior Section which meets on most Saturday afternoons 2.00-5.00pm The Club enjoys an enviable reputation in the railway modelling circuit for its open days and the quality of its annual exhibition, held each March in Victoria Hall, Keighley. If you're wanting to develop your railway modelling skills, you can do no better to pay us a visit and talk to some of our experienced members. But even if you're only an armchair modeller, we have a social area with video tapes and TV, kitchen and internet enabled PC, and substantial library for research. There are several different types of membership available, according to the level of involvement individuals want. These include Junior, Country, Full and under specific circumstances, Concessionary. However, in any event, your first few visits to the Club will be completely free of any commitment on your part. If you're interested in model railways, give us a try. You can be sure of a warm welcome at Keighley MRC! Railway enthusiasts have visited this website!
